Types of Perlite

Expanded perlite

It is a granular material produced by expanding of the volcanic rock perlite. Having low specific gravity it provides excellent heat-insulating and sound-insulating qualities. The inorganic origin guarantees flame resistance and resistance against microoranisms and moulds. It is chemically inert and resistant against temperatures ranging from –200oC to +900oC. Due to its porosity it is quite absorptive. It is produced in two fractions as EP100 and EP150.

Packaging: 125 l paper bags.

Agroperlite

It is sorted expanded perlite with grain size of 1 – 4 mm, intended for improvement of soil quality in agriculture. Its density does not exceed 200 kg/m3. Mixed in the soil it makes it lighter, more airy and absorbs water and nutriments that are gradually released again during warm and dry weather. Its practical resistance against climatic effects, chemical and biological processes going on in the soil is a guarantee of sustainable investment into improvement of soil quality.

  • suitable for cultivating of house plants and cacti
  • used in connection with hydrophobic cultivating of plants
  • prevents evaporation of water from soil

Packaging: 125 l paper bags.

Vapex

It is a white, loose, granular material the surface of which is coated with a thin layer of the hydrophobic coating. It is characterised by law water absorption and high affinity to nonpolar liquids (petroleum products). It perfectly absorbs crude oil, petrol, oils, fats, lubricants and other fatty liquids spilt on the ground, floating or dispersed in water. This material is inflammable and health-friendly with unlimited durability. Its weight is does not exceed 250 kg/m3. These qualities predestine it for elimination of water and soil pollution with petroleum products.

  • absorbs petroleum substances dispersed in water
  • eliminates spilt petroleum products and sludge
  • prevents leaking of petroleum products in case of ecological disasters
  • purifies underground waters

Packaging: 125 l paper bags.
